The evolution of the W13 SE Version, the W13 SE+ Version represents the ultimate expression of the talent of its creator, Sven Boenicke, and therefore of a philosophy guided by an unconditional passion for music that he himself sums up with the following words: “I have probably spent more time in concert halls recording music than most speaker manufacturers. Wherever I go, the sound of real instruments is with me. In my memory, in my body, and I promise that you can hear it in our products.”
The SE+ Version is an extremely sophisticated three-speaker, three-way speaker that, starting from Boenicke Audio’s characteristic naturally formed enclosure with a computer-optimised internal labyrinth, incorporates a series of unique solutions that make it a product simply from another galaxy. This is the case of the bass subsystem, made up of two 330 mm diameter cone woofers that have been designed for large displacements. Both drivers are driven by a DSP-managed 2x350 Watt Class D amplifier module with 4 user presets to optimise integration in any room. The midrange driver, fitted with a 152 mm diameter wooden cone, has also been custom-made to Boenicke Audio’s exacting specifications, while incorporating one of the Swiss firm’s exclusive parallel electromechanical resonators. It includes a first-order low-pass filter but no high-pass filter, in addition to exclusive elements to optimise its key parameters. The W13 SE+ Version is completed by a 75 mm diameter wide-pass tweeter with a first-order high-pass filter, combined with one of the Swiss firm’s exclusive parallel electromechanical resonators. Also of note on the W13 SE+ Version are the highly imaginative Bybee “Quantum Purifiers”, a circuit designed specifically to linearise the phase response curve and Boenicke Audio’s unique SwingBase rear feet. Completing this elite speaker are the exclusive Steinmusic Speaker Match Signature connectors, which optimise the speaker-amplifier interface. The result, aided by the presence of a rear-mounted ambient tweeter whose filter circuit includes one of the renowned Mundorf MCap Supreme capacitors, is an exceptionally convincing presentation of all types of musical recordings.

“Perhaps I have spent more time in concert halls recording live music than most other loudspeaker manufacturers.
Wherever I go, the tone of real instruments is with me.
In my memory, in my body – and I promise you can hear it in our products." - SVEN BOENICKE
Boenicke Audio was founded in 1998. Against the overwhelming number of brands in today's hifi market (some say 20,000 worldwide!), we've closely scrutinised each of our products by asking ourselves, "does anyone really need this?" So we have grown Boenicke Audio slowly and organically. We don't focus on number of sales but product quality and relevance.
