The Eversolo Play CD Edition combines the streaming, DAC and amplification functions of the standard Play with an internally fitted CD drive. It offers direct disc playback, lossless CD ripping, 110W-per-channel amplification and comprehensive digital, analogue and network connectivity.

The Play CD Edition provides a complete compact music system for listeners whose collections include both streamed music and physical compact discs. It retains the AKM DAC, Class D amplification, touchscreen interface, room correction and extensive connectivity of the standard Play, while adding a purpose-integrated Hitachi-LG CD-ROM mechanism.

CDs can be played directly without requiring an external optical drive. The system also provides a dedicated ripping function, allowing tracks to be preserved in lossless WAV or FLAC format and stored on compatible local, external or network storage.

Where available, the software can retrieve album artwork, track names and artist information from online databases. The resulting files can then be added to the same Eversolo music library used for streamed, downloaded and network-based music.

The internal amplifier delivers 60W per channel into 8Ω and 110W into 4Ω. HDMI ARC/eARC connects a television, while MM/MC phono, analogue line, optical and coaxial inputs accommodate turntables and other sources. A subwoofer output supports expansion to a 2.1-channel system.

Room correction, equalisation, multiroom playback, mobile-app control and integrated streaming services make the Play CD Edition suitable as the sole electronics component in a compact but flexible hi-fi installation.
