Introducing the Miyajima MC-2

The MC-2 is Miyajima’s tube-type MC head amp without the special usage conditions attached to the MC-1. As with the MC-1, Miyajima describe it as a design in which the audio signal does not pass through resistance, aiming for realistic sound quality without the phase-shift limitations they associate with transformers.
The MC-2 supports both low-impedance and high-impedance cartridges, offers two selectable inputs, and provides a choice of input impedance values to suit different cartridges. Miyajima recommend 150 ohms for their stereo cartridges and 51 ohms for their monaural cartridges, while noting that a faint tube noise may be heard at high volume and that RF pickup can occasionally occur in wooden buildings.
