Introducing the Miyajima MC-1

The MC-1 is Miyajima’s low-gain tube-type MC head amp, created to avoid what the company sees as the principal sound-degrading elements in audio systems: transistors, transformers and resistors. Miyajima state that the audio signal does not pass through resistance, and that the MC-1 has no phase shift and almost no frequency limit.
It is a highly specialised design with excellent bandwidth and a direct signal path, but it comes with important setup requirements. Because it is a one-stage amplifier, the phase is reversed, and correct use depends on independent shielding between tonearm and phono cable. If hum is excessive, Miyajima specifically advise using the MC-2 instead.

Please read the special usage conditions carefully before installation. Both low-impedance and high-impedance cartridges are supported, and Miyajima recommend use with a 50k ohm load impedance amplifier.
