The Eversolo DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 adds a dedicated CD playback system, OCXO-based precision clocking and external master-clock compatibility to the advanced DMP-A8 Gen 2 platform. It combines streaming, high-resolution conversion, balanced analogue control and physical-disc playback in one premium component.

Created for listeners who want the DMP-A8 platform with more advanced digital-source engineering, the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 combines network streaming, DAC functionality, analogue preamplification and a purpose-designed internal CD playback system.

The CD mechanism is optimised specifically for audio use rather than general computer data. High-precision reading and error-management processes are intended to improve consistency when playing physical discs, allowing an existing CD collection to become part of the same system as local files and online streaming services.

Clocking is upgraded to an OCXO and phase-locked-loop architecture, providing a stable timing reference with femtosecond-level precision. A 10MHz external clock input allows the player to be integrated with a compatible master-clock generator in more advanced audio installations.

As with the standard DMP-A8 Gen 2, conversion is handled by an AK4191EQ processor and AK4499EX DAC. The fully balanced analogue stage uses OPA1612 operational amplifiers and a precision R-2R volume network, allowing the player to connect directly to a power amplifier or active speakers.

Its 8.6-inch touchscreen, octa-core processor, 8GB of system memory and 64GB of internal storage support fast navigation through large collections. Room correction, 20-band parametric equalisation, FIR-filter support, upsampling and integrated music services provide extensive control over playback and system tuning.
