The Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 is a premium streaming hub combining an AKM flagship DAC architecture, fully balanced analogue preamplifier, R-2R volume control and an expansive 8.6-inch touchscreen. Its high-performance computing platform, room correction, advanced equalisation and comprehensive connectivity make it suitable for sophisticated stereo systems.

The DMP-A8 Gen 2 is designed to serve as the central source and control component in a high-performance audio system. Its wide aluminium chassis provides additional space for internal separation and thermal management, while the redesigned 8.6-inch interface offers a clearer view of album artwork, playback information, VU meters and system settings.

Digital processing and conversion are separated between an AKM AK4191EQ processor and AK4499EX DAC. This arrangement allows each stage to perform a dedicated role, supporting native DSD512 and PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit while preserving detail against a low-noise background.

A proprietary Eversolo AuralEngine handles high-resolution USB audio, while the fully balanced analogue preamplifier incorporates an R-2R resistor-ladder volume-control network. Volume is adjusted in the analogue domain, avoiding the resolution reduction associated with conventional digital attenuation.

The upgraded 64-bit octa-core processor, 8GB of memory and 64GB of internal storage provide faster music-library analysis and more responsive operation. Eversolo states that the platform can structure libraries containing approximately 200,000 tracks in around two hours.

Integrated services and protocols include major international streaming platforms, Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect and DLNA. The player also provides room correction, advanced equalisation, target-curve adjustment, network storage access and local SSD expansion.
