The Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 combines high-resolution network streaming, digital-to-analogue conversion and preamplifier control in one compact component. Dual ESS ES9038Q2M DACs, an XMOS XU316 processor, balanced analogue outputs and support for music up to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit make it a versatile source for modern hi-fi systems.

Designed as the digital centre of a stereo system, the DMP-A6 Gen 2 can operate as a complete streamer and preamplifier, a standalone DAC or a digital transport feeding another converter. Its CNC-machined aluminium chassis and 6-inch touchscreen provide direct access to music libraries, streaming services, input selection and audio settings.

The decoding stage uses separate ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips for the left and right channels, partnered with the third-generation XMOS XU316 audio processor. This architecture supports native DSD512 and PCM playback up to 768kHz/32-bit, while the fully balanced signal path provides XLR and RCA analogue output options.

Eversolo’s EOS audio engine is designed to preserve the original sampling rate when using supported music applications. The DMP-A6 Gen 2 also includes a 10-band equaliser, local and network-library management, cross-platform search and support for services and protocols such as TIDAL, Qobuz, Roon and TIDAL Connect.

HDMI ARC allows compatible televisions to send audio directly to the streamer, while a separate HDMI audio output supports multichannel playback up to 5.1 channels. Trigger output and Wake-on-LAN make the player easier to integrate with power amplifiers and automated systems.
