The further evolution of the Boenicke Audio W11 Standard Version incorporates additional, highly sophisticated, exclusive engineering elements intended to further refine the philosophy of its creator, Sven Boenicke, when he talks about the connection between his products and his deep passion for music: “I have probably spent more time in concert halls recording music than most speaker manufacturers. Wherever I go, the sound of real instruments is with me. In my memory, in my body, and I promise you can hear it in our products.”
The W11 SE+ Version is, like the base W11 model and the W11 SE Version, a sophisticated three-speaker, three-way speaker that, starting from Boenicke Audio’s characteristic naturally formed cabinet with computer-optimized internal labyrinth, incorporates unique solutions that make it a different product. The woofer used includes a 254 mm diameter flat diaphragm with a honeycomb structure tuned to 27 Hz and filtered, which has been designed to handle large displacements. The woofer also has the possibility of adjusting its output level in 5 steps of 2.5 dB using a very high quality custom-made autotransformer. The midrange speaker, equipped with a 152 mm diameter wooden cone, has also been custom-made to Boenicke Audio's demanding specifications, while incorporating one of the Swiss firm's exclusive parallel electromechanical resonators. It also includes a first-order low-pass filter, but no high-pass filter, in addition to exclusive elements to optimize its key parameters. Also noteworthy in the W11 SE+ Version is the use of a 75mm diameter wide-pass tweeter, as well as the presence of Bybee’s highly imaginative “Quantum Purifiers”, a circuit designed specifically to linearise the phase response curve and the firm’s unique SwingBase rear feet. Completing this elite floorstander are the exclusive Steinmusic Speaker Match Signature connection elements, which allow the cabinet-amplifier interface to be optimised. The result, aided by the presence of a rear-mounted ambient tweeter, whose filter circuit includes one of the renowned Mundorf MCap Supreme capacitors, is an exceptionally convincing presentation of all types of musical recordings.

“Perhaps I have spent more time in concert halls recording live music than most other loudspeaker manufacturers.
Wherever I go, the tone of real instruments is with me.
In my memory, in my body – and I promise you can hear it in our products." - SVEN BOENICKE
Boenicke Audio was founded in 1998. Against the overwhelming number of brands in today's hifi market (some say 20,000 worldwide!), we've closely scrutinised each of our products by asking ourselves, "does anyone really need this?" So we have grown Boenicke Audio slowly and organically. We don't focus on number of sales but product quality and relevance.
