This means that we are looking at a sleek, absolutely delightful, compact monitor that is, without a doubt, like the models it improves, one of the most musical speakers of its kind ever created. A product that perfectly expresses the philosophy of its designer, the Swiss Sven Boenicke: “I have probably spent more time in concert halls recording music than most speaker manufacturers. Wherever I go, the sound of real instruments is with me. In my memory, in my body, and I promise that you can hear it in our products.”
The W5 SE+ Version is, as its creators claim, a little beast whose sophisticated, unfiltered side-firing subwoofer with built-in resonator is capable of even higher displacements than the W5 Standard Version and W5 SE Version, thus delivering an absolutely incredible reproduction of the low frequencies of the spectrum. Featuring an enclosure constructed entirely from natural wood using the most advanced computer-aided design techniques available, the W5 SE+ Version also features a custom-made spring suspension that effectively isolates it from the surface it rests on, improving midrange clarity and overall airiness while reducing distortion rates. This enables the small Boenicke to exhibit an excellent polar radiation pattern – crucial for creating compelling soundstages – that defies its very compact dimensions.

Wherever I go, the tone of real instruments is with me.
In my memory, in my body – and I promise you can hear it in our products." - SVEN BOENICKE
Boenicke Audio was founded in 1998. Against the overwhelming number of brands in today's hifi market (some say 20,000 worldwide!), we've closely scrutinised each of our products by asking ourselves, "does anyone really need this?" So we have grown Boenicke Audio slowly and organically. We don't focus on number of sales but product quality and relevance.
