The third model in Boenicke Audio’s highly elaborate range is an elegant floorstander that, like all the other models from the Swiss brand, perfectly reflects the philosophy of its creator, Sven Boenicke, when he talks about the connection between his products and his deep passion for music: “I have probably spent more time in concert halls recording music than most speaker manufacturers. Wherever I go, the sound of real instruments is with me. In my memory, in my body, and I promise you can hear it in our products.”

The W11 Standard Version is the base model – there are two evolutions of it called SE Version and SE+ Version – of a sophisticated three-speaker, three-way speaker that, starting from Boenicke Audio’s characteristic naturally formed enclosure with a computer-optimised internal labyrinth, incorporates a series of unique solutions that make it a product light years ahead of the rest. The woofer used is a 254 mm diameter flat diaphragm honeycomb structure tuned to 27 Hz and filtered, which has been designed to handle large displacements. The woofer also has the possibility of adjusting its output level in 5 steps of 2.5 dB using a very high quality custom-made autotransformer. The midrange speaker, equipped with a 152 mm diameter wooden cone, has also been custom-made to Boenicke Audio's demanding specifications. It includes a first-order low-pass filter but no high-pass filter, in addition to exclusive elements to optimise its key parameters. The W11 Standard Version is completed by a 75 mm diameter wide-pass tweeter with a high-pass filter, combined with one of the Swiss firm's exclusive parallel electromechanical resonators. The result is a prodigious presentation of all types of soundstages that can be further fine-tuned with the addition of Boenicke Audio’s optional SwingBase rear feet.

Boenicke Audio was founded in 1998. Against the overwhelming number of brands in today's hifi market (some say 20,000 worldwide!), we've closely scrutinised each of our products by asking ourselves, "does anyone really need this?" So we have grown Boenicke Audio slowly and organically. We don't focus on number of sales but product quality and relevance.
